Fans Think Kylie Jenner’s New Ventures Are Just ‘Lazy’ Ways For Her To Make Money
Kylie Jenner rose to fame as a reality TV star on keeping up with the Kardashians. Nowadays, she is also known to be a businesswoman.
In September 2021, Jenner is launching the Kylie Swim swimwear line as well as the Kylie Baby brand of baby products. However, some fans don’t like Jenner’s new business ideas. In fact, they even accuse Jenner of using businesses as “lazy” ways to make money.
Kylie Jenner has had huge success with Kylie Cosmetics
Growing up in a famous family, Jenner had many opportunities to make advertising deals with brands.
In 2015, at the age of 18, she launched her own cosmetics business. She originally sold lip kits under the name Kylie Lip Kit and grew massively right away. Soon she renamed the company and started selling other makeup products under the Kylie Cosmetics name.
The success of Kylie Cosmetics prompted Forbes to declare her the youngest self-made billionaire in 2018. The following year, Jenner sold 51% of her business to Coty Inc. for $ 600 million, which added more money. to his bank account.
Although Forbes would later withdraw her billionaire status by accusing her of inflating her income, she still has a net worth of $ 700 million in 2021, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Kylie Cosmetics has had success, but some fans aren’t impressed with Kylie Swim and Kylie Baby. For example, these fans believe that Kylie Swim’s swimsuit designs are impractical and primarily designed for people with the same body type as Jenner. They also find it odd that the brand launched in mid-September instead of before summer.
Kylie Baby’s criticism comes from the belief that many Jenner fans are young people who are not yet parents. Additionally, on Reddit, some people have pointed out that many parents with babies won’t buy products from brands they don’t trust, and Jenner doesn’t yet have a reputable name in that market space.
This all adds up to criticism that Jenner’s new ventures may lack vision and creativity.
One person said on Reddit, âLooks like she’s pulling out all these companies one after the other because after the massive success of Kylie Cosmetics, nothing else has been successful. KC made her a shit money but Kylie got lazy with that and too [âcause] the hype died down and that’s when they sold it to Cody [âcause] it made the most sense at the time.
âI think his team totally overestimates their ability to sell products to all demographic groups other than 16-21 year olds,â another user wrote. âUnfortunately, I can see most of their businesses shutting down in 3-5 years. They’re just offline.

According to Forbes, Jenner has registered nearly 130 brands, including âKylie Hairâ and âKylie Fragranceâ. She explained to Playboy in 2019 that she enjoys starting businesses and wants to have names ready whenever she wants to start a new brand.
“I didn’t start on wine and bed linen, but I think you’ve probably heard us mark everything in different categories, so if I ever decide to go out with wine or bed linen, this will be implemented, âshe said.
Jenner continued, âAfter starting Kylie Cosmetics, I feel like I found a passion for building from scratch and building new businesses and new businesses. Now that I know the whole process very well, it comes easily to me and it’s really fun and definitely a passion of mine⦠I can’t wait to keep developing and creating new things.
